Cookware and Food Prep Department

Responsibilities:

Owns the product through the development lifecycle up to factory order placement

Creates and implements product pipelines/programs across cookware and food prep categories

Manages the existing stable of products and leads the ongoing development of enhancements to support existing product lines, delivering increased value to the consumer.

Manages the execution of consumer research to further support rationale for product development and positioning within the marketplace

Leads and manages communication with overseas vendor’s offices, drives timeline, adherence and cross functional alignment

Owns and manages delivering products within the parameters set by retail customer design engineering, and merchandising teams. Drives cross functional team alignment on development goals on the customer side as well as internally.

Manages the maintenance of the development tracker

Manages communication of accurate details relating to sampling, costing, product details to all cross functioning partners and vendors.

Tracks and approves all tooling

Timeline Management – drives adherence to all timing goals, spec out, sample due dates, products approvals, final cost pass off, validation and PO placement.

Manages the communication on sample requests, follows up and troubleshoot timelines.

Builds Chase T & A as needed

Costing – identifies opportunities for cost engineering and implements in development

Negotiates newness costing based on merchandising parameters

Overseas vendor development – in partnership with sourcing, develops deep understanding of vendor capabilities and leverages knowledge to lead the team to develop best possible product with vendor limitations

Material research and development – owns research and testing with overseas vendors and costing supplier’s technique and material development

Sample & Product Management – Responsible for the day to day workrooms, and archives where applicable with support from assistant.

Partners with design team and facilitates to coordinate and set up samples for customer meetings

Criteria:

5+ years experience in retail manufacturing and import guidelines

4 Year Bachelor’s Degree

Fluency in Microsoft Office, Word, Powerpoint and Excel

PLM Experience –is an advantage but not require

International Travel Required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
